I love my back yard. I have it a bit wild and the wildlife loves it and I love to watch them. Yesterday I had the pleasure of seeing (and picking up I must confess) a box turtle as big as a pie plate. I unfortunately didn't get a picture as he was in a hurry to be on his way. It is just so wonderful to be able to watch the squirrels play and the birds fly around and land in my magnolia tree. You could say I am a real nature lover and get allot of inspiration from it.
Another thing I love are all the wild blackberries in my yard. I have been able to get enough for some blackberry jam and to make a blackberry buckle. I even had enough left over for snacking.
Sorry to say my blog has been on the back burnner while I have been dealing with "life issues". I just had to take this opportunity to say Happy Mother's Day to all the wonderful mothers out there. Sometimes being a mother is a hard, thankless job( at least it feels that way). I am glad there is a day for people to reconize the important part mother had in there life. Good or bad your mother is always a part of you. Tell the mother in your life how much she means to you today.
Due to some family "stuff" happening I put my blogging on the back burner. Shame on me.
Anyway, I wanted to celebrate Earth Day. Yeh, I know. Here it is the weekend after Earth Day, but better late than never.
Some of the best ideas I have seen for recyling your trash into useful (and just plain cool) stuff is on Instructables. Check out thier Earth Day pages at http://www.instructables.com/id/Earth-Day/. They range from the simple to the oh so complex projects that may end up saving you a buck or 2, not to mention, also help save the planet.
I am so new to the blogging community that I get excited when I figure something new out. My first widget!! I know to others it's no big deal, but to one such as I, I feel like I just won the lottery. Please notice it to the right. Please capture this butterfly and set it free on your blog.
Note: No butterflies were harmed in the creation of this widget, although I thought I was going to pop an artery trying to figure it out. :)
Easter Sunday. Time for spring renewal. I feel like everything is new and fresh.
This is the start of a wonderful time. I hope I am able to inspire and cause a few smiles in the near future. As I get things up and running in my new buisness venture, I am comming up with new ideas for crafts to share and I am brainstorming on a great new feature for my blog. If there is something you would like to see feel free to leave a comment below.
Hello everyone. Let me introduce myself. I am Monna Davies a.k.a kewlmomma on some posts. I named my blog Daydream Circle, because that is what this endevor has been to me for some time now, just a daydream. I have always wanted to share my artistic talent with the world, make money doing what I love, and making friends along the way. I decided the time to make those dreams a reality is now. I'm going to make this blog a place to learn new things, post new ideas, and grow as a person. I want others to be inspired by me as much as I have been inspired by all the talented people I have encountered. I will have weekly features, monthly givaways, and hope to have lots of fun along the way. come join me on what promises to be a great adventure. Oh, and don't ever stop daydreaming.
